Dave Tyler was born and raised in Murray,
Utah, the black sheep of a conservative family. After suffering
many hardships at a very young age, he learned to express his feeling and frustrations
with the world around him through various forms of art.
He grew up as an artist
in many different forms of the word, a Painter and Illustrator, using pencils
and chalks, a Musician, using old-school vinyl records to deejay at local clubs
and parties, a Poet, filling many notebooks with deep-thinking words and thoughts
to express many emotions and feelings going through his head.
Growing up, a
Cartoonist, capturing the ups and downs and the many facets of human lives
using markers, crayons and sketch art expressions, and last,
but not least, a photographer, making many videos depicting
skateboarding and snowboarding tricks as well as home movies,
all with his own touch of special effects and soundtracks
added.
The 3 passions that survived his teenage years and
stay with him today are music, video photography, and of course,
graphic arts, which since his youth have advanced from pencils,
paints and markers to a computer mouse and screen. Dave's
fascination of computers went beyond simply using them to
draw cartoons and pictures, but deeper into how it all worked.
The makeup and parts of a computer and the programs that make
them do what they do took his interest to a place where it had never been before.
He decided the only way to learn more and continuously satisfy his growing
curiosity was to attend college and major in computer sciences and graphic
art. Dave soon was accepted to Utah Career College where he is presently,
making academic strides, namely the honor roll every semester.
He has attended more than 2 years so far, pursuing a Bachelor's
degree in Computer Graphic Design.
His creative talents have
also landed him a job building and designing web sites at
Heritage Web solutions. As a result of this chance to design
before his graduation degree is even issued, his knowledge
and creativity has grown immensely and continues to grow,
and so does his family as he welcomed his new baby boy last
winter to join his wife, Kia and daughter, Taja. Dave and
his family live in West Jordan, Utah, carrying on the tradition
of the "black sheep". This time, of the neighborhood.
